Shawn Kennedy has extensive experience in marketing and strategy roles, spanning over 17 years. Shawn is currently the Director of Marketing, Franchise Development at Neighborly® since November 2021. Prior to this, Shawn worked at Aflac for 5 years as the Sr. Brand Manager, where they led a team responsible for acquisition, engagement, and retention of distribution partners. Shawn achieved significant lead, conversion, and retention increases, as well as incremental revenue growth. Before Aflac, Shawn was the Marketing Director at Transamerica from 2015 to 2016, where they focused on audience engagement, loyalty, and business growth through various marketing efforts. As a Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing Manager at Transamerica, they also managed product marketing, strategic marketing, and campaign management. Shawn also has experience as a Strategy and Marketing Consultant for Pepperdine University's MBA program, an Interactive Account Supervisor at TBWA\Chiat\Day, a Digital Account Supervisor at Omelet, and a Digital Marketing Supervisor at The Cimarron Group. Shawn began their career as an Account Executive at Team One, where they worked on various marketing campaigns and business development projects.

Shawn Kennedy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising from Michigan State University. Besides, they have an MBA from the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. In addition to their formal education, Shawn also obtained certifications, including an AdWords Certification from Google and an Inbound Certification from HubSpot.
