Megan Nickerson possesses extensive experience in event planning, sales, and customer service across various industries. Currently serving as a Meeting & Event Planner/Information Officer II at NEIWPCC since January 2022, Megan's role focuses on convening water quality professionals to address regional environmental challenges. Prior experience includes positions at GreenStar Herbals, Inc. as Associate Director of Retail, overseeing retail and marketing efforts, and as Catering Sales Manager at Delaware North, managing a multi-million dollar catering operation at TD Garden. Earlier roles in hospitality included catering and sales positions at InterContinental Hotels Group and The Beechwood Hotel, with foundational experience in customer service at Edible Arrangements and multiple hotels. Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Keene State College.
NEIWPCC
NEIWPCC [NŪ-Ē-PĬK] is a regional commission that helps the states of the Northeast preserve and advance water quality. We engage and convene water quality professionals and other interested parties from New England and New York to collaborate on water, wastewater, and environmental science challenges across shared regions, ecosystems, and areas of expertise. We develop, coordinate, and conduct training courses for wastewater and other water quality professionals regionally and nationwide. We conduct research into water-related topics, monitor environmental factors, and fund such work by others. We also implement and fund environmental restoration and other on-the-ground projects. We fund and/or staff programs that engage the public through events, exhibits, web and print publications, and other outreach activities. We actively represent the interests of member states at meetings with federal and state officials and in regional and national water and wastewater associations.
