Jeff Ajer

Jeff Ajer is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. since August 2005, Ajer has played a pivotal role in the growth of the company's commercial capabilities, driving revenue from $400 million in 2012 to over $2 billion in 2023 and overseeing the launch and development of five innovative brands. Previously, Ajer held various leadership roles, including Vice President of Commercial for The Americas and Vice President of Sales and Marketing Operations at BioMarin, as well as Vice President of the Transplant business unit at Genzyme. Ajer also contributes as a director on the board of Nektar Therapeutics and has held directorships at True North Therapeutics and Genzyme. Ajer holds both an MBA and a BS in Chemistry from UC Irvine.
