Sergio I. Perez Bakovic

Sergio I. Perez Bakovic is a Chemical Engineer currently employed at Nel Hydrogen since December 2021, with extensive experience in electrochemical energy conversion and storage. Previously, Sergio worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Arkansas from September 2016 to December 2021, focusing on the synthesis and development of heterogeneous electrocatalysts. Prior experiences include a Cooperative Education role at The Coca-Cola Company, where process controls for industrial washers were managed, and a Surgical Assistant position at Collins Oral & Facial Surgery, providing support during operations. Sergio also served as a Research Assistant at the University of Central Arkansas, developing novel chromatography processes. Sergio holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Central Arkansas.
