Silya Massaert

Silya Massaert serves as the Sustainable Sourcing Manager at Nelixia since February 2021, focusing on designing and implementing sustainability and sourcing strategies for cash crops. Responsibilities include developing sustainable sourcing methods, managing R&D programs in sustainability, and identifying external funding opportunities. Prior experience includes roles as a Network Coordinator at Veterinarians without Borders International and Project Leader for sustainable vetiver and cocoa initiatives. Silya has also worked with the French Development Agency, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, and ECOCERT in various capacities related to project management and certification. Silya holds multiple degrees in international agro-development and gender studies, alongside certifications in agronomy and humanitarian logistics.
