Carly Haithcock

With a background in civil engineering and city planning, Carly provides a human approach to technical problems. She has specific expertise in quick-build projects, ranging from painted bike lanes to protected intersections, and navigating those through public process to construction. Carly is also deeply involved in Safe Routes to School design and construction projects.

Carly has designed over 30 miles of bike lanes, crossing improvements at over 40 schools, two floating bus stops, and Austin’s first dual-track urban trail. She serves as a mentor for the AmericaWalks Walking College and is a board member of a nonprofit in Austin seeking to complete a 32-mile trail alongside a commuter rail line.
