David Gilchrist

David Gilchrist has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the Director of Planning at NEMO Equipment since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Planning Manager at NEMO Equipment from November 2020 to February 2023. David also has experience as a Senior Demand Planner at Henkel from June 2020 to November 2020. Before that, they worked as a Demand Planner at Cycling Sports Group from October 2018 to June 2020. David's professional journey includes a role as an Assistant Manager at Centerline Optics from August 2017 to August 2018. David gained valuable experience at Anheuser-Busch InBev, where they worked in various roles, including Business Process Manager from December 2016 to August 2017, Group Manager from January 2016 to December 2016, and Logistics Development Associate from July 2015 to December 2015. Their work experience also includes impressive achievements as a Logistics Co-op at Anheuser-Busch InBev, where they developed a linear optimization algorithm to generate standardized delivery routes and as a Logistics Intern, where they built a predictive model to estimate returned kegs and pallets. Additionally, David has contributed to research as an Undergraduate Researcher at MIT Media Lab, where they worked on developing a public on-demand transportation system in India and assisted in developing a mathematical model of the transportation system.

David Gilchrist's education history begins in 2007 when they attended Lyme-Old Lyme High School, where they pursued a general field of study and graduated with a High School Diploma in 2011. Following this, from 2011 to 2015, they enrolled at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Concentration in Engineering Management. In 2020 and 2021, David engaged in further academic pursuits by participating in MITx Courses, specifically the MITx MicroMasters® program in Supply Chain Management.
