Jan Aertsen

Jan Aertsen is the Senior Director of PS EMEA at Neo4j. Jan has over 20 years of experience in the software engineering and business intelligence industries. Jan started their career as a software engineer at IBM Tivoli in 1999. In 2002, they became a business intelligence project manager at Capgemini. In 2011, they joined Pentaho as the Senior Director of Services. In 2017, they joined Hitachi Vantara as the Sr Director Services Solutions. Jan is responsible for Pentaho's growth into the big data and IoT space. Jan has built the Pentaho Professional Services organisation from 0 to 60 people and has grown the two largest Pentaho services accounts worldwide. Jan has also created the Pentaho Services Delivery Partner network for EMEA and APAC.

Jan Aertsen studied Handelsingenieur at KU Leuven and received a Bachelor's degree. Afterwards, they pursued a Master in AI at the same school. Jan also completed a Latin Mathematics course at Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege in Westmalle.
