Matthias Gutheil

Matthias Gutheil is a Cultural Strategy Manager and Chief of Staff at NEOM since June 2022, having previously served as Cultural Strategy & Programmes Lead. Prior experience includes a role as a Researcher at BOP Consulting, focusing on cultural strategy and the creative economy across various global regions, along with project management for the BOP500 R&D initiative. Prior positions include Junior Consultant at METRUM Managementberatung GmbH, where Matthias contributed to management process redesign for a major orchestra and conducted research on Germany's public cultural offerings, as well as consulting roles at t-space studio and Voyagin, specializing in copyright risk analysis and cultural cluster mapping respectively. Academic qualifications encompass a Master of Science in Economics and Management in Arts, Culture, Media and Entertainment from Università Bocconi, and a Bachelor of Science in Business, Economics and Social Science from WU Vienna, among other educational experiences.
