Gabriel Garcia began their career in 2011 as an Outreach Coordinator at the Smart Museum of Art, The University of Chicago. In this role, they created and presented project media presentations, managed participant evaluations, assessed data and oversaw the program budget, and coordinated and led meetings with University staff and school liaisons. In 2013, Gabriel moved to Marwen as a Registrar, where they coordinated registration and communications, processed and analyzed program data from the office CRM, and drafted and implemented all mail and email communications regarding upcoming meetings. From 2015 to 2017, Gabriel was an Arts Program Associate at Urban Gateways, where they scheduled meetings and appointments for client management including contract staff, ensured timely preparation, execution and monitoring of office budgets, and maintained and organized organization CRM to accurately track program information and streamline organizations’ procedures. From 2017 to 2020, Gabriel worked as an Administrative Support Assistant at Trinity University, where they were the first point of contact for prospective and existing members by fielding program inquiry and follow-up, updated and tracked opportunities for prospective members in CRM, and evaluated the Asana platform for staff project management, working with the Department of Education Chair to develop best-practices and training materials for new staff. Gabriel currently works at Neon One as a Senior Support Specialist and Customer Support Specialist.
Gabriel Garcia attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 2003 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine and Studio Arts.
