Alexey Kondratov

Alexander "Alexey" Kondratov was born on October 1, 1988, in Moscow, Russia. Alexey is a software engineer who specializes in developing databases and data analytics systems. Alexey graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 2011 with a degree in applied mathematics and computer science.

Alexey began their career as a software developer at S&A Web Development, where they worked for two years before moving to Yandex in 2013. At Yandex, they worked on a variety of projects, including the development of a search engine for the Russian market. In 2014, they left Yandex to pursue a Ph.D. in computer science at the Federal Scientific Research Centre "Crystallography and Photonics" RAS.

In 2016, they returned to the workforce as a software developer at Postgres Professional, where they worked on the development of the PostgreSQL database management system. Alexey left Postgres Professional in 2021 to join Neon, a startup that is working on the development of a new database system.

Alexey Kondratov has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from the Institute of Crystallography of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IC RAS). Alexey also has a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute). Alexey's Bachelor's Degree is in Applied Mathematics and Physics from the same school. Alexey is also certified in Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) from Kanban University and in Algorithms: Design and Analysis from Coursera. Alexey is proficient in English, having passed the Duolingo Proficiency Exam.
