John Spray

John Spray is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in software development and infrastructure architecture. Currently serving as an Engineer at Neon since July 2023, John previously held engineering roles at Redpanda Data and served as an Infrastructure Architect at Citadel Securities from November 2018 to July 2021. Prior to that, John was a Principal Software Engineer at Red Hat and held senior positions at Inktank, Inc., Intel, Whamcloud, and Detica, where John contributed to various projects including high-performance computing interconnect products. John's early career included a role as a Software Engineer at Quadrics and an internship at EPCC. John Spray holds an MSc in High Performance Computing from the University of Edinburgh and a MPhys in Physics with Computer Simulation from the University of York.
