Nikita Shamgunov

Nikita Shamgunov is the current CEO of Neon. Prior to this, they were the Chief Strategy Officer at SingleStore from October 2020 to May 2022. Before that, they were the CEO of MemSQL from January 2011 to October 2020, where they focused on building the company's distributed transactional database. Prior to that, they were a software engineer at Facebook from January 2010 to December 2011, where they worked on infrastructure engineering and cost control. Before that, they were a Senior Software Development Engineer at Microsoft from January 2005 to December 2010.

Nikita Shamgunov has a PhD in computer science from National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics. St. Petersburg. Nikita also has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Ural State University named after A.M.Gorky and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the same school.
