Ed Fritsch has been working in the field of cancer immunotherapy for over 38 years. Ed began their career in 1982 as a Research Scientist at Genetics Institute. Ed then moved on to become the Chief Scientific Officer at Phylos Inc. in 2002. In 2012, they took on the roles of Presidential Scholar at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Senior Clinical Project Leader at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. In 2015, they founded Neon Therapeutics, Inc. and also became the President of ACIR, a charitable organization dedicated to curing cancer. In 2020, they became the President of UCIR.
Ed Fritsch completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Biology at the University of Wisconsin from 1973 to 1978. Prior to that, they attended MIT from 1968 to 1972, studying Biology.
