Assumpta Nantume

Assumpta Nantume is the Research & Evaluation Lead at Neopenda. Assumpta has a background in communications and pharmaceuticals. Assumpta has worked in both the private and public sector in Uganda.

Assumpta began their career as an intern pharmacist at Mulago National Referral Hospital. Assumpta then went on to work as the Head of Regulatory Affairs at Lifeway Pharmaceutical Industries, Ltd. In 2016, they became a Communications Associate with Global Health Council. The following year they were a Global Health Corps Fellow. In October 2017, Assumpta began working as a Research Assistant at Duke Malaria Collaboratory. Assumpta then transitioned to their current role as Research & Evaluation Lead at Neopenda in July 2019.

Assumpta Nantume has a Masters of Science in Global Health from Duke University as well as a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Mbarara University of Science & Technology.
