Dr. Thomas Schindler

Dr. Thomas Schindler has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Dr. Thomas currently holds the position of Managing Director of Operations at Neoperl GmbH since August 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director of Bericap GmbH & Co. KG from May 2016 to July 2018, where they had full business responsibility for operations and sales, overseeing 400 employees and a turnover of 110 million euros.

From October 2010 to April 2016, Dr. Schindler worked at Sonoco Consumer Products Europe (formerly known as Weidenhammer Packaging Group) as the Director of International Operations. In this role, they had operational responsibility for up to 10 production sites across different countries, managing 700 employees and a turnover of 140 million euros. Dr. Thomas also held commercial procuration roles during their tenure.

Before that, Dr. Schindler gained experience at Freudenberg Household Products, where they held various positions. Dr. Thomas served as the Director of Production and R&D from April 2008 to October 2010 and was responsible for a team of approximately 230 reports. Dr. Thomas also held the role of Category Head of R&D from April 2005 to March 2008, overseeing the R&D activities for three product categories with a total turnover of 180 million euros. Additionally, they served as the Director of R&D, Quality, and Environment from September 2000 to March 2005, and as an R&D Manager from September 1997 to August 2000.

Dr. Schindler began their career at SAP as a Support Manager in the IS OIL division, adapting SAP R/3 to the needs of the mineral oil industry. Dr. Thomas held this role from April 1997 to August 1997.

Dr. Thomas Schindler completed their education with a Dipl.-Ing. degree in Chemie from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in 1990. Dr. Thomas then pursued their studies at Universität Osnabrück, where they obtained a Dipl.Chem. degree in Physikalische Polymerchemie in 1993. Dr. Thomas continued their academic journey at Universität Osnabrück and earned a Dr. rer. nat. degree in Physikalische Polymerchemie in 1996.
