Alexander Chashnikov

Alexander Chashnikov has a strong background in data engineering and analytics. Alexander is currently working as the Head of Data Engineering at Neotech Development, where they are responsible for leading the data engineering team. Prior to this, Alexander worked at Noones as the Data Engineering and Analytics Team Lead. Alexander has also held positions at Paxful, betPawa, Beeline Kazakhstan, Kaspi Bank, VTB, Capital Bank Kazakhstan, and JSC Temirbank, where they gained experience in various data engineering roles and responsibilities. Throughout their career, Alexander has worked on projects involving data processing, automation, data quality testing, ETL processes, and building data platforms using Big Data technologies. Alexander has a strong technical background with expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, Informatica Power Center, PySpark, and Scala.

Alexander Chashnikov obtained an Engineer's degree in information security from the Almaty Institute of Power Engineering and Telecommunications, where they studied Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from 2002 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Alexander has also earned several certifications. In 2022, they completed the courses "Blockchain and Bitcoin Fundamentals" from Udemy and "Machine Learning Zoomcamp" from DataTalksClub. In 2021, they obtained certifications in "GitLab CI: Pipelines, CI/CD and DevOps for Beginners" from Udemy and "Linux Shell Scripting: A Project-Based Approach to Learning" from Udemy. In 2020, they completed the course "Fundamentals of Visualization with Tableau" from Coursera and "Matillion Academy | Building a Data Warehouse using Matillion" from Matillion. Prior to that, in 2019, they obtained certifications in "Creating Web Services with Python," "OOP and design patterns in Python," and "Dive into Python," all from Coursera. Further back in 2017, they completed "The Ultimate Hands-On Hadoop - Tame your Big Data!" from Udemy. Finally, in 2014, they obtained certifications in "Pattern-Oriented Software Architectures: Programming Mobile Services for Android Handheld Systems," "Programming Mobile Services for Android Handheld Systems: Communication," "Programming Mobile Services for Android Handheld Systems: Concurrency," "Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems: Part 2," "Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems," and "Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems: Part 1," all from Coursera.
