Jessica Savage is currently a Researcher PhD Student at the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), engaged in a project focused on the impacts of marine plastics on filter-feeding megafauna, specifically reef manta rays in the Central Indian Ocean. This role involves oceanographic particle dispersion modeling, risk assessments for ingestion and entanglement, and ecotoxicology analysis. Jessica previously worked at Computacenter as a Network and Security Technology Sales Specialist and Sales Associate. Other experiences include roles as an Events Seasonal Worker at Huttopia Campsite, a Volunteer Conservation Intern with Coral Cay Conservation, and a Seasonal Worker at Camping Holiday Marina. Jessica holds a BSc in Natural Sciences from Durham University and an International Masters in Tropical Biodiversity and Ecosystems from Université libre de Bruxelles, among other educational qualifications.
