Hannah E. Ross

HPC Performance Engineer at NERSC

Hannah is a member of the Application Performance group. Her work focuses on optimizing the Energy Exascale Earth System Model (E3SM) as a part of the NERSC Exascale Science Applications Program (NESAP). She is currently working on profiling the cloud and turbulence module in the Simple Cloud-Resolving E3SM Atmosphere Model (SCREAM) which is being developed to target a 3 km resolution to better resolve cloud physics.

Hannah’s background is in computational cosmology. Before joining NERSC Hannah did her Ph.D. at the University of Sussex (UK) and did a postdoc in the Computational Research Division here at LBNL. Her research focused on adding new physics to massively parallel cosmological simulations to be run on HPC systems.
