Sune Thomsen

Sune Thomsen has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sune is currently working as the CTO and Head of R&D at Nerve Smart Systems since March 2023, where they manage people, development activities, and supports sales and production.

Before that, Sune held a long-term contract as a Consultant at TechPeople A/S from February 2019 to October 2022. During this time, they worked in the railroad industry, handling project management and tasks related to network infrastructure and wireless technologies.

Prior to that, Sune worked as a Consultant in their own self-employed venture in 2018. Sune worked on various activities and projects, primarily as a CTO and teacher. In addition, they entered a long-term contract as a project manager in February 2019.

Sune has also worked as an IT Manager at Finans Danmark in 2016, where they managed shared IT systems and ensured flawless operation and support for employees.

From 2013 to 2017, Sune worked at the Association of Danish Mortgage Banks, starting as an IT Manager and later becoming the IT and Administration Manager. Sune managed teams responsible for smooth operations, accounting, HR, and IT systems.

Earlier in their career, Sune worked at Intel Mobile Communications as an SW Project Manager from 2011 to 2012, overseeing SW activities for modem solutions. Sune also worked as a Guest Teacher at IT University of Copenhagen in 2011, teaching mobile technologies.

Sune's career also includes significant experience at Nokia, where they worked in various roles such as SW Program Development Manager, SW Project Leader, DSP SW Designer, and represented Nokia at job fairs.

Prior to that, Sune worked as an SW consultant at Critical Aps from 2001 to 2002, specializing in safety-critical SW and SW configuration management. Sune began their career as a Software Developer at Vision Automation A/S, working on industrial vision systems for visual quality control.

Overall, Sune Thomsen has a strong background in technology, project management, and people management, with experience in various industries and roles.

Sune Thomsen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics from DTU - Technical University of Denmark, completing their education from 1995 to 1999. In addition to their bachelor's degree, they obtained several certifications including "Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager" and "Certified SAFe® 6 Product Owner/Product Manager" from Scaled Agile, Inc., acquired in March 2023 and April 2023 respectively. Sune also holds an "IPMA Level C" certification from Dansk Projektledelse, obtained in May 2008.
