Maija Strandberg

Maija Strandberg currently serves as the Director General of the Ownership Steering Department at the Prime Minister's Office in Finland, a position held since July 2019. Responsibilities include ownership policy, strategy, and analyses for key portfolio companies such as Finnish Minerals Group, Finnair Oyj, and Neste Oyj. In addition, Maija holds various leadership roles, including Chair of the OECD Working Party on State Ownership and Privatisation Practices and membership positions on nomination committees for multiple organizations, including Fortum and Finnair. Previous board experience includes roles at Neova Group and contributions to audit and nomination committees across various firms. Maija Strandberg earned a Master of Science in Finance and Information Technology from the Turku School of Economics and has completed management education programs at prestigious institutions including Dartmouth and IMD.
