Alain Desgeorges

Alain Desgeorges is an experienced leader in research and development, currently serving as the Head of R&D Project Management and as Head of R&D Pharma product development CMC ad interim at Nestlé Health Science since October 2019. With a comprehensive background in CMC activities, Alain has held significant roles at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals as CMC Senior Project Lead for a Phase III project and at Merck Group as Biotech CMC Programme Lead overseeing biologics development from Phase I to III. Prior to these positions, Alain contributed to various managerial and scientific functions in drug substance development at the Healthcare Business of Merck and worked in upstream biotech production at Serono. Alain began a research career with post-doctoral work at CHUV and a research associate position at HUGE, culminating in a Doctor of Biochemistry (PhD) in Immunology from the University of Geneva.
