Matthias Frommhagen

Matthias Frommhagen is an R&D Specialist in Enzyme Technology at Nestlé, having held this position since January 2020, following a role as R&D Associate Specialist in the same area. Prior experience includes serving as a Scientific Advisor and Postdoctoral Researcher in Carbohydrate Chemistry and Biochemistry at G3 Pharmaceuticals, focusing on developing proprietary carbohydrate inhibitors for pharmaceutical applications. At Wageningen University & Research, Matthias held positions as a Scientific Researcher/PostDoc and PhD Researcher, with a thesis on oxidative enzyme-induced carbohydrate degradation recognized in the field of Chemical Sciences. Additional experience encompasses partnerships with DuPont and Dyadic International during the PhD project, research assistance at the University of Leeds, and early roles in nutritional consulting and sales. Matthias holds a PhD from Wageningen University & Research and an MSc in Nutritional Science from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg.
