Carl Hlazo

From 1999 to 2000, Carl Hlazo worked at Lazo Technologies as a Snr. Software Engineer. Carl developed new modules for a client-server windows application, updated modules in the c++ server and visual basic client, and later migrated the application to a web-based application using web services.

From 2000 to 2005, Carl Hlazo worked at Media Defined, Inc as a Principal Software Engineer. Carl'sresponsibilities included application integration, designing and implementing APIs to connect the SaaS Learning Management System with Salesforce CRM, SAP, Oracle Fusion, and virtualization platforms like VMware, CloudShare, and Ravello. Carl also implemented services for exporting data from the SaaS Learning Management System to different third-party applications.

From 2005 to 2010, Carl Hlazo continued working at Media Defined, Inc in various roles. Carl started as an Engineering Manager, overseeing a team of engineers in the development and maintenance of the enterprise SaaS Learning Management System. Carl was also in charge of the architectural design, implementation, and release of the various application components that built the LMS. Later, they became the Director of Engineering, where they were responsible for overseeing the software design and development efforts for Media Defined Inc, delivering applications for sales channels to provide a total learning environment to over 12,000 VAR organizations.

Carl Hlazo attended Ambassador University from 1994 to 1996, where they obtained an Associate's degree in Management Information Systems and Services. Carl then pursued further education at Huston Tillotson University from 1996 to 1999, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Carl Hlazo has also obtained certifications in Server Messaging from Apek in January 2023 and in Learning React.js from LinkedIn in November 2020.
