Beatriz de Oliveira

Beatriz De Oliveira is an Incoming Machine Learning Intern at Othoz GmbH, having previously held various leadership roles and participated in multiple initiatives at Duke University. Beatriz serves as Chair and Vice Chair of Management and Communication on the Duke Student Government's Student Organization Finance Committee, which oversees a $1M fund for student clubs. As President of the Brazilian Student Association, Beatriz promotes Brazilian culture and engages students. Beatriz has experience as a CS Peer Facilitator, Teaching Assistant in Economics, and Research Assistant in neuroeconomics, contributing to academic support and research mentorship at Duke. Additionally, Beatriz founded Books for a Change, a literacy initiative benefiting over 12,000 children across multiple countries. Beatriz interned at Leibniz Universität Hannover focusing on NLP processes and has legislative internship experience with the U.S. House of Representatives and California State Senate. Beatriz is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and German at Duke University.
