Mariana Duque Quintero

Mariana Duque Quintero is a PhD candidate at the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience, focusing on the neural bases of compulsivity and the effects of deep brain stimulation. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Assistant and Internship positions at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour, as well as a Teacher Assistant at the University of Amsterdam, where assistance was provided for neuroeconomics and psychobiology courses. Mariana also gained practical experience through research internships at the Swammerdam Institute for Life Sciences and the Instituto de Neurociencia Biomédica, contributing to projects in neurobiology and education. Mariana obtained a cum laude MSc in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Universidad CES.
