Mathijs Bergers is a dedicated research assistant currently working at the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience and Amsterdam UMC since January 2024 and January 2023, respectively. Bergers has extensive experience in neuroscience research, including studies on auditory stimulation during sleep, sleep-learning, and the pathophysiology of orthostatic tremor patients. Previous positions include a role as a winkelmedewerker at Slagerij Bart Ridder from January 2015 to December 2023 and various research projects at the University of Amsterdam, including stimulus localization and studying the effects of deep brain stimulation. Mathijs Bergers holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Cognitive Neurobiology and Clinical Neurophysiology, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology, both from the University of Amsterdam.
