Naomi Rijk is currently a PhD candidate at the Nederlands Herseninstituut, where work involves collaboration with Inge Huitinga and Joost Verhaagen. Previously, Naomi engaged in a research project focused on epigenetic regulation of oligodendrocyte development at Karolinska Institutet under the supervision of Professor Gonçalo Castelo-Branco. Naomi also conducted a research project at Universiteit Utrecht, investigating the localization of AMPA receptor auxiliary proteins in the lab of Dr. Harold MacGillavry. Early career experience includes serving as a board member for the biomedical sciences study association Mebiose and tutoring high school students in chemistry, mathematics, and biology. Naomi holds a master's degree in Neuroscience and Cognition and a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences, both from Utrecht University.
