As the Relationship Manager for NetHope’s Center for the Digital Nonprofit, Rhoda Ohito is responsible for ensuring timely engagement with internal and external stakeholders. She also oversees the refinement, design and integration of communication and workflow systems and processes for effective information flow.
Prior to joining NetHope, Rhoda spent 14 years working in the international development sector as a manager and senior advisor. Her work assignments over the past decade plus have been with US Government agencies (USAID, Department of State and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) implementing the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the largest commitment by any nation to address a single disease in history. She developed and oversaw programs and partnerships on behalf of PEPFAR in collaboration with US and host government staff and officials in Botswana, Rwanda and Zambia, as well as colleagues and leadership at Global Fund, UNAIDS, World Bank, GIZ, and DFID among other multilateral and bilateral funders. She has also served in senior management positions in the public health and philanthropic sectors in Minnesota.
Rhoda began her career working with grassroots community organizations in Minnesota, serving low income and minority populations. She is an alum of the James P. Shannon Leadership Institute, a certified Project Management Professional and a graduate of the University of Minnesota where she earned both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an MPH in Public Health Administration & Policy. Rhoda is usually found physically present in Minnesota with occasional rendezvous to locales that tug on her heartstrings.
