Michael Rapson

Principal Software Developer at Netronome

Michael Rapson began their career in 2007 as a PhD student at the University of Cape Town. Theirthesis was titled "An Extensible Computational Cochlear Modelling Framework" and their supervisor was Prof. Jonathan Tapson. In 2012, they joined Netronome as a Principal Software Developer. Michael was responsible for the specification, design, implementation, and maintenance of the Netronome Flow Driver (NFD), a key component of Netronome's firmware offerings which transports data between the network card and host computer over PCIe buses.

Michael Rapson received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Cape Town in 2012, after completing their BSc (Eng) in Mechatronics from the same university in 2011.
