Somatheran Balakrishnan

Somatheran Balakrishnan has a diverse work experience in the field of IT infrastructure and networking.

Starting from 2014, Somatheran worked as an intern at MIMOS Berhad, where they gained knowledge in knowledge base cleansing.

In 2012, they worked as a freelance IT consultant and website developer at Ash Tech.

From 2013 to 2015, Somatheran served as a research assistant at Multimedia University, focusing on the performance analysis of biometric data processing and automatic speech recognition models. During this time, they also pursued a Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) degree in Data Communications and Networking.

In 2017, Somatheran worked as a network engineer at the National Library Board for a brief period.

From 2015 to 2022, they held multiple roles as a network engineer at Infineon Technologies. Their responsibilities included implementing, maintaining, supporting, and developing communication networks to ensure high availability and maximum performance for users.

Most recently, in 2021, Somatheran joined NETS as a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer.

Somatheran Balakrishnan completed a Bachelor's degree in Data Communication & Networking from Multimedia University, from 2012 to 2015. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications in the field of networking. These certifications include Cisco Certified Networking Professional - Enterprise, Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Advanced Infrastructure Implementation, Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core, CCNA Routing and Switching, and Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching). These certifications were obtained between 2016 and 2021. Somatheran also attended Cisco Connect 2019.
