Richard Baird has a diverse work experience in various roles related to system engineering, project management, and IT engineering. Richard started their career at Akzo Nobel Chemicals as an IT Engineer in 1997 and worked there until 2001. Richard then joined Ohio Valley Bank as a Senior Network Administrator from 2001 to 2006. After that, they served as a System Administrator at Marshall University from 2006 to 2007. Richard then worked at Quick Solutions, LLC as a Project Manager from 2007 to 2010. Richard continued their project management role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center from 2010 to 2012 and transitioned into a Server Engineer role from 2012 to 2014. Currently, Richard is employed at Netsmart, where they have worked as a Senior System Engineer since 2014 and later promoted to a Lead System Engineer in April 2021.

Richard Baird attended Marshall University from 1999 to 2006. During this time, they obtained an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management, General. In addition to their formal education, Richard also obtained several certifications. In September 1999, they earned an A+ certification from CompTIA. Later, in December 2007, Richard achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Most recently, in April 2016, they became a Certified CommVault Professional through Commvault.
