Yunzhi Li

Yunzhi Li has a diverse work experience. Starting in 2016, they worked as a Research Associate at the National University of Singapore, focusing on rare event simulations in physics and chemistry. In 2017, they transitioned to become a Trader at Lobb Heng Pte. Ltd., specializing in commodity trading and hedging. In 2018, they joined NetVirta, Inc. as a Research Scientist, where they contributed to various projects such as math algorithm design for computer vision, 3D reconstruction, and deep learning. They quickly progressed to become a Lead Research Scientist, leading a team in developing a mobile foot 3D scanning solution with high accuracy. Finally, they assumed the role of Research Manager, overseeing the development of a high fidelity textured 3D human avatar and clothes simulation and later leading the research and development of an AR foot scan solution using a mobile phone.

Yunzhi Li pursued a comprehensive education, culminating in a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Math Modelling and String Method for Saddle Point Search from the National University of Singapore. Prior to their doctorate, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Applied Mathematics from the same institution, a four-year undergraduate program. Before entering university, Yunzhi attended Raffles Institution, where they completed their 'A' Levels, specializing in the science stream with two Higher Level 3 (H3) subjects in Chemistry and Physics.
