Denise Whelan

Denise Whelan has a strong and diverse work experience spanning across multiple industries. Denise began their career with Intel Corporation in 2003 as a Training and Assignments Coordinator, responsible for organizing and supporting expatriated employees attending training programs. Denise then worked as an Inhouse Recruiter/Coordinator with Xerox (Europe) through Manpower from September 2005 to September 2006. Denise joined APRA as a Recruitment Advisor (Temporary) from November 2006 to February 2007.

In 2007, Denise took on a temporary Office Assistant role with the Irish Institute of Training and Development while seeking a permanent role after returning from Australia. Denise provided information and advice on IITD courses and events during this period.

Denise's tenure with Sage began in June 2007, where they held various HR roles. Denise worked as an HR Coordinator until May 2008, then as an HR Generalist from June 2008 to March 2010. Finally, they served as an HR Business Partner from April 2010 to January 2014.

Denise's most recent and significant role was with Netwatch System, where they joined as an HR Manager in March 2014 and served until December 2018. Denise then advanced to the position of Group HR Director from January 2019 to May 2021, responsible for managing HR and Recruiting professionals across multiple markets and being a part of the Senior Leadership Team. Currently, Denise holds the position of Chief People Officer at Netwatch System.

Denise Whelan completed their Bachelor of Business Studies degree majoring in Human Resource Management (CIPD Qualified) at Dublin City University from 2001 to 2005. In 2015 to 2017, they attended University College Cork and obtained a Higher Diploma in Leadership Development, focusing on Strategic and Leadership Management. Additionally, in 2014 to 2015, they attended Kingstown College and obtained an Advanced Diploma in Personal and Executive Coaching.
