Roman TUMA

Roman Tuma has an extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Their most recent position was as the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at NetWitness, which they started in June 2023. Prior to that, they held the same role at Checkmarx from May 2021 to June 2023. Roman also served as the Vice President for LATAM, EMEA, and APJ at Checkmarx from January 2021 to May 2021. Roman was a Member of the Board of Advisors at Quad Miners from January 2021 to September 2021. Before that, they had a long career at IBM, where they held various roles including Vice President for IBM Hybrid Cloud from January 2018 to December 2020, Vice President for IBM Security from June 2017 to January 2018, Director for IBM Security in Asia Pacific from January 2015 to June 2017, Director for IBM Security Systems in Growth Markets from January 2012 to December 2014, and Asia Pacific Executive for Tivoli Security from June 2010 to December 2011. Prior to joining IBM, Roman was the Managing Director for the Software Practice in Asia South at Sun Microsystems Inc from June 2008 to June 2010. Roman also worked as a Regional Sales Director for APAC at Oracle from March 2006 to June 2008. Earlier in their career, Roman gained experience as a Senior Territory Manager for ASEAN/North Asia at ActivIdentity Inc (ActivCard) from May 2002 to March 2006, as well as a Regional Sales Manager at Protocom Development Systems from May 2002 to March 2006. Roman started their career as a Sales Manager at Encentuate Inc. from January 2000 to May 2002.

Roman TUMA attended Střední průmyslová škola elektrotechnická in Praha 10, V Úžlabině 320 from 1984 to 1988. Roman obtained a Double Diploma in HW & SW Engineering - Computer Systems during this time. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained an IBM Selling Profession Certification - Level II Expert from IBM in April 2017.
