Tauni Wells

Tauni Wells has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. Currently, they serve as the Cybersecurity Team Lead at Network Designs, Inc. since September 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at SMS Data Products Group, Inc. from 2017 to 2022, where they held multiple positions including Cyber Security Engineer, Project Manager, and Senior Information Assurance Engineer.

Before joining SMS Data Products Group, Inc., Tauni worked at NCI, Inc. as an IT Capabilities Manager from March 2017 to August 2017. Tauni also gained experience at ManTech International Corporation as a SASMO from December 2015 to March 2017, and at DUCOM, Inc. as an ASC SALE LNO from July 2015 to December 2015.

Earlier in their career, Tauni worked at ManTech as a SASMO/FSR Lead from January 2014 to July 2015, and at CGI as a SASMO and Task Manager/Senior Consultant from 2011 to 2013. Their responsibilities at CGI included responding to requests for assistance on computer equipment, performing repairs, conducting system backups, and providing technical direction and reviewing work of development teams.

Beginning their career in 2005, Tauni worked at Logistics Management Resources, Inc. as a SASMO/Systems Technician II and later as a Business Process Analyst/Instructor. Their roles involved providing technical assistance on computer equipment, conducting repairs, performing backups, and demonstrating knowledge of logistics, as well as participating in the development, training, and implementation of applications.

Prior to their role at Logistics Management Resources, Inc., Tauni worked at L-3 Communications as a Production Controller, where they were responsible for briefing new personnel on computer operations and applications, providing guidance in using office automation tools, and creating or modifying program applications.

Throughout their career, Tauni Wells has gained extensive experience in cybersecurity, project management, information assurance, IT capabilities management, and technical support.

Tauni Wells completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Information Systems from Utah Valley State College in 1993-1994. Prior to that, they pursued general education courses at Weber State College from 1983 to 1984. Tauni also served in the US Army Reserve, although the specific dates and educational pursuits during that time are unknown.

In addition to their formal education, Tauni obtained various certifications. Tauni became ITIL Foundations certified from AXELOS Global Best Practice in August 2017. Tauni also achieved certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in June 2020, Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in February 2019, and CompTIA Security+ in November 2015. Other certifications they hold include CISSP from (ISC)² in April 2017, MCTS, Windows 7 from Microsoft in February 2011, Security+ from CompTIA in March 2009, and Certified Network Engineer from Novell in August 1994.
