Darren Battersby

As Chief Financial Officer for Network Media Group, Darren Battersby brings extensive financial and operational expertise to the table, since joining Network in 2008 as a consultant and then taking on the CFO role in October 2014.

Darren graduated from Simon Fraser University in 1994 with a BBA in Accounting. He then articled at the accounting firm of Ellis Foster (now Ernst & Young) and then qualified as a chartered professional accountant in 1997 through the British Columbia Institute. Today, Darren also owns a financial consulting company called Finance Matters Consulting Inc., specializing in hands-on support and providing companies access to all levels of accounting experience.

Darren has vast experience in the financing and management of entertainment companies, as well as an invaluable understanding of the tax credit process. Darren has also acted as CFO for Rainmaker Entertainment and Skybound North and has advised on numerous films and television productions.
