Ian Bradler

Ian Bradler has extensive experience in health, safety, quality, and environmental management within the rail industry, currently serving as HSQE Director and Head of Safety and Sustainable Development at Network Rail since September 2008. Ian has led initiatives to enhance safety culture, manage strategic directions for major projects like the Thameslink Programme, and developed comprehensive risk-based assurance mechanisms. Previous roles at Network Rail and London Underground included HSQE Manager and Contracts Safety Assurance Manager, where Ian provided expert advice, managed safety performances, and implemented new safety governance systems. Ian holds a degree in Aerospace Systems Engineering from Coventry University and an additional qualification from Warwick Business School.
