Daniel Haag has a long history of work experience in the field of neuroscience. Daniel began their career as a PhD student at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in 2004, where they conducted research on the impact of alterations in neuronal precursors during postnatal cerebellar development on medulloblastoma formation in Ptch1+/- mice. Daniel then moved on to Stanford University in 2012, where they became a Postdoctoral Researcher. At Stanford, they were primarily engaged in the development and study of neural disease models using pluripotent stem cells. In 2016, they became the Head of Neuroscience and Co-Founder of NeuCyte.
Daniel Haag obtained their Dr. rer. nat. in Biology from Heidelberg University between 2006 and 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Diplom in Genetics, Physiology, and Biochemistry from Technische Universität Darmstadt between 2000 and 2006.
