Mike Cantrell

Mike Cantrell has extensive experience working in various roles related to technology solutions and software development. Mike started their career in 2008 as a Systems Administrator at BenchMark Physical Therapy, where they provided IT leadership and developed applications. Mike then moved on to Unum in 2009, working as a Programmer Analyst III, where they managed and developed software projects.

In 2011, Cantrell became the Director of IT at BenchMark Physical Therapy, overseeing IT operations and standardizing procedures. Mike then joined Unum again in 2014 as the Director of Technical Solutions, managing a department responsible for developing technical solutions.

From 2015 to 2016, Cantrell worked as a Senior Solutions Architect at CBL & Associates Properties, Inc., where they developed organizational applications and standardized software development tools. Mike then served as the Manager of IT Applications at Sedgwick in 2016, managing a team of developers and project managers.

In 2017, Cantrell became the Director of Application Development at Covenant Transport, where they developed department strategies and managed Agile software development teams. Mike then worked at the Tennessee Valley Authority from 2020 to 2022 as a Specialist, Solutions Architect, focusing on Azure, Kubernetes, and DevOps solutions.

Most recently, Cantrell joined Neudesic in 2022 as the Director of Client Solutions. In this role, they provide technical leadership for client engagements, with a focus on Azure Cloud, App Development, and DevOps. Mike oversees Solutions Architects, works closely with industry executives, and is responsible for architectural design and application development projects.

Throughout their career, Cantrell has demonstrated expertise in various technologies, including Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, C#, .NET, and SQL Server. Mike has also shown strong leadership and project management skills, consistently delivering successful solutions for their organizations.

Mike Cantrell obtained an MBA in Management Information Systems (MIS) from Tennessee Technological University, which they attended from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus in Computer Information Systems (CIS) from Western Carolina University, where they studied from 2004 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Mike Cantrell has obtained several certifications. Mike became a Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals from Microsoft in March 2023. In November 2022, they received an Academy Accreditation for Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals from Databricks. In September 2022, they became an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner certified by IBM. Mike also holds certifications from Microsoft, including Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals obtained in April 2022, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals obtained in September 2020, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) obtained in November 2020.
