Daniel Foppa

Daniel Foppa is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in editorial leadership and content development. Currently serving as Stellvertretender Chefredaktor and Ressortleiter Inland & Debatte at NZZ am Sonntag since August 2022, Foppa previously held key positions at SRF - Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen, including Themenplaner Inland and Producer at various news programs from November 2019 to July 2022. Foppa's earlier roles include Inlandchef at Tamedia and Bundeshauskorrespondent at Somedia AG. Foppa also contributed to the academic field as a member of the Hochschulrat at Université de Fribourg from July 2017 to June 2022. Foppa holds a Ph.D. in Germanistik and political philosophy from Université de Fribourg, along with a diploma in journalism and communication sciences from the same institution and completion of a Summer Investigative Reporting Course at Columbia University in 2018.
