Lionel Wilhelm has an extensive education history. In 2007, they attended Gymnase Cantonal de Beaulieu, where they obtained a Certificat de Maturité in Physique et application des mathématiques in 2010. Lionel then pursued their passion for music, enrolling at Ecole de Jazz et de Musiques Actuelles (EJMA) from 2008 to 2010, earning a Certificat d'études préprofessionnelles in Piano.

Following their time at EJMA, Wilhelm returned to EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) to study Mechanical Engineering and computational science. Lionel completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Ingénierie mécanique from 2010 to 2014. Continuing their education at EPFL, Wilhelm pursued a Master's degree in the same field and graduated in 2016. Through their academic journey, Lionel Wilhelm has acquired a strong foundation in both music and engineering.
