Lia Coleman

Lia Coleman is a Machine Learning Engineer at Modyfi since April 2024, with extensive experience in machine learning, generative AI, and creative design. Lia co-organizes the NeurIPS Creative AI Track and the associated workshop on Machine Learning for Creativity and Design, while managing the online NeurIPS AI Art Gallery. Previous roles include Graduate Student Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute, where research focused on generative AI and robot-assisted art, and part-time Machine Learning Engineer at Polae, contributing to an immersive film project that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Lia's experience also encompasses consulting for OpenAI, blogging for Runway, teaching at the Rhode Island School of Design, and leading creative projects focused on AI at various organizations.
