Valerie Freitas

Valerie Freitas has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Valerie is currently working at Neural Propulsion Systems, Inc. as a Technical Project Manager, responsible for program and operations management. Prior to this, they were a Project Coordinator and Project and Change Lead at World Wide Technology.

Valerie also has extensive experience as a CEO and Organizational Enablement at TriValley CoderDojo, where they worked from October 2013 to January 2019. Additionally, they served as a Program Management Consultant at SMEI from May 2000 to January 2019. During this time, they also worked as a Strategic Partnership Consultant at CareerWaze from November 2017 to May 2018.

Before their time at Freitas Consulting, Valerie worked at Lucent Technologies as a Network Consultant and Project Manager from April 1998 to May 2000. Valerie started their career as a Technology Management Consultant and Project Manager at Booz Allen Hamilton from January 1995 to April 1997.

Valerie Freitas has a diverse and extensive education history. Valerie holds a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from the University of Colorado Boulder. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management of Information Systems (MIS) from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Valerie has also pursued various certifications and training programs. Valerie obtained a Certified Trainer in Systems Thinking, Mapping, and Leadership from Cornell University Cabrera Research Lab in 2021. Valerie is also a Certified Trainer in the Agile MBA and Scrum from The Job Hackers. Additionally, they completed a certification as a Certified Trainer in Systems Thinking, Mapping, and Leadership from Cabrera Research Lab.

Valerie has a strong interest in cybersecurity. Valerie completed a GenCyber Cybersecurity Teacher training program at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 2018 and a CyberPatriot Cybersecurity Mentor training program at Cabrillo College in the same year. Valerie also gained proficiency in Python programming through a course at Las Positas College and studied Web Development at Diablo Valley College.

Valerie's education extends beyond technical fields. Valerie has completed several programs in Neurobiology and Neurosciences at the Svetlana Masgutova Educational Institute, LLC from 2005 to 2018. Additionally, they hold various course certificates in technical and business fields from platforms such as Coursera and Udemy.
