Joe Duarte

Joe Duarte has over 30 years of experience in various roles within the pharmaceutical industry. Joe currently serves as the Vice President of Commercial Operations at Neurelis, Inc., a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this, they were the Senior Director of Trade & Access at Neurelis from October 2018 to March 2022.

Before joining Neurelis, Joe held senior leadership positions at Aries Pharmaceuticals Inc., where they were the Senior Director of Trade, Contracting & Pricing from March 2017 to October 2018. Joe also worked at kaleo as the Director of Payer & Pharmacy Strategies from January 2016 to January 2017, and as the Director of Market Access from May 2015 to January 2016.

Earlier in their career, Joe held roles at Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as the Account Director from February 2014 to May 2015, and at Mallinckrodt as the Sr. Director of Managed Markets & Trade from January 2013 to February 2014. Joe also served as the Director of Access Marketing at Mallinckrodt from May 2012 to January 2013.

Joe's extensive experience also includes positions at Cephalon, where they worked as the Director of Healthcare Systems from January 2007 to April 2012, Associate Director of Healthcare Systems from September 2005 to December 2006, and National Account Manager from February 2003 to August 2005. Joe started their career at Cardinal Health as the Director of Health System Sales from September 2001 to January 2003, and at DuPont Pharmaceuticals as the Area Business Director from January 1991 to September 2001.

Joe Duarte attended Pepperdine University from 1985 to 1986, where they studied business without earning a degree. Subsequently, from 1986 to 1989, they attended the University of San Diego, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on business.
