Juan Ruival

Juan Ruival has a strong background in software engineering and leadership roles. Juan most recently worked as the Sr. Director of Software Engineering & DevOps at VeraSci since May 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Software Engineering at VeraSci from April 2019 to May 2021.

Before their time at VeraSci, Juan worked as a Product Manager at ReverseVision from April 2018 to April 2019. In this role, they were responsible for defining and executing the company's API Platform strategy and launching the initial API endpoints.

In 2017, Juan took a sabbatical after 22 years in the technology industry. During this time, they explored emerging technologies such as AI, data science, and blockchain.

From 2011 to 2017, Juan worked at Ellie Mae as the Director of Software Engineering, where they led a team in creating Ellie Mae's next-generation mortgage calculation engine. Juan was responsible for delivering calculation logic for over 5000 loan data fields and played a crucial role in the Encompass Lending Platform.

Prior to Ellie Mae, Juan held various roles at Del Mar DataTrac, including Vice President of Engineering from 2010 to 2011 and Director of Engineering from 2008 to 2010. Juan also worked as a Software Architect and Senior Software Engineer at Del Mar DataTrac - Fiserv from 2005 to 2008.

Juan's earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Software Engineer at Brandes Associates, Inc. from 2002 to 2004 and as a Lead Software Engineer at Multi Soft, Inc. from 2000 to 2002. Juan also worked as a Senior Software Engineering Consultant at Visionet Systems Inc. from 1998 to 1999.

Juan'scareer began at LapJack Systems LLC, where they served as the Director of Engineering from 1997 to 1998. Juan was a co-inventor and lead developer of the LapJack Data Security System, which was sold worldwide as Data Defender.

Juan Ruival obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University in 1995.
