Honghu Quan

Honghu Quan, PhD, DVM, is a Senior Scientist at Neurocrine Biosciences since March 2023. Prior to this role, Honghu served as a Scientist in Gene Therapy Process Development at WuXi Advanced Therapies from October 2021 to March 2023. Honghu completed a postdoctoral fellowship at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital from January 2019 to October 2021, focusing on stress granule dynamics and neurodegenerative diseases such as ALS under the guidance of Mondira Kundu. Honghu earned a PhD in Biology/Biological Sciences from the University of Illinois Chicago, where research concentrated on germline specification mechanisms in insects in Jeremy Lynch's lab. Additional academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Huazhong Agricultural University.
