Jay Houghton

Software Architect at Neuroglee Therapeutics

Jay Houghton has over 30 years of work experience in the software engineering field. Jay started their career in 1991 as a Software Developer at Sikorsky Aircraft. In 1993 they moved to Digital Equipment Corporation as an Engineer. Jay then worked as a Consulting Engineer for Quantum Corporation from 1995 to 1997 and for Lucent Technologies from 1997 to 1999. In 1999, they joined Magnasource as a Director and Team Lead, where they worked on Enterprise Network Management System (NMS) development for industry leaders. In 2005, they became the Vice President of Engineering at Lime Brokerage, where they were responsible for algorithmic trading and backoffice transaction processing systems, design and development. From 2017 to 2020, they were the Director of Architecture and Technology at CyGlass (a Nominet Company). In this role, they led the design of CyGlass's first public Web API and online applications, as well as the netflow processing pipeline, rule and policy-based Correlation Engine, and k8s-based workload management. In 2020, they became the Chief Architect at Nominet, where they lead the architect team for Nominet Cyber's NextGen Protective DNS. Currently, they are the Software Architect at Neuroglee Therapeutics, leading design, architecture, and implementation for the novel Neuroglee approach to digital therapy for cognitive conditions.

Jay Houghton received their BS in Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst between 1989 and 1993. In 2002, they obtained a Certified Software Development Professional certification from IEEE. In 2012, they obtained a Series 99 - Operations Professional certification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
