Maria Pires

Maria Pires is an experienced Research Associate currently working at NEUROLENTECH GmbH. Previously, Maria held positions as a Scientific Researcher at the University of Tsukuba, Research Advisor at the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES), and Health Sciences Research Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh. Maria also worked as a Research Fellow at Karolinska Institutet Science Park and completed their Master's degree in Biochemistry at Stockholm University. With a background in Biochemistry from Universidade do Porto, Maria has conducted research in various labs focusing on topics such as inflammation, sickle cell disease, and Amber Suppression technology.
