Based in Mountain View, CA., NeuroPace is a commercial-stage medical device company focused on transforming the lives of people suffering from epilepsy by reducing or eliminating the occurrence of debilitating seizures. Its novel and differential RNS System is the first and only commercially available, brain-responsive platform that delivers personalized, real-time treatment at the seizure source.

We focus on complex medical conditions and provide technology solutions to transform the lives of people suffering from epilepsy by reducing or eliminating the occurrence of debilitating seizures.

You will lead the company through its next level of growth and beyond. Partnering closely with our CEO and executive team, you will create and execute HR strategies, programs, policies, and processes to support and achieve the company’s goals with an emphasis on Talent Acquisition, Culture Building, Talent Development, and best-in-class HR processes. This is an opportunity to meaningfully shape and execute strategy within a company that is leading the way in an impactful industry. This high impact role reports directly to the CEO and plays a critical role on our executive team.

What you will do:

  • Partner with our CEO and executive team to develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that aligns with the company's vision, mission, values and supports the business needs of the organization
  • Own talent development at all levels in the organization, operationalizing all aspects of high performance organizational development
  • Partner and collaborate in building and developing high performing leaders that are committed and values aligned
  • Own and operationalize how we work post pandemic and activate through defined operating principles aligned to our values and behaviors that supports a culture of high-performing employees
  • Build, develop and lead our HR team to best-in-class that is capable of scaling with our business
  • Evaluate and refine existing programs like Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, KPIs, etc.

  • Ability to build and develop a comprehensive HR function at a high-growth company with a high bar for talent
  • Make clear decisions in fast-paced environment, understand our industry and business model in order to align people strategy with company strategy
  • Create a competitive employment brand that attracts and retains the best talent
  • Successful at scaling an organization - prioritizing, adapting, and building programs for >200 employees

Who you are:

  • Possess an unquestionable moral and ethical backbone. Proven track record of being a trusted and respected leader
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with a minimum of 15 years of experience in an HR Leadership capacity
  • Ability to thrive in a start-up commercial environment with limited resources however you succeed by creating impact measured by business results
  • Business minded, you prioritize the needs of the business and propose HR strategies and programs to support the company’s goals
  • A strategic business partner with a data driven informed point of view who successfully collaborates and influences across all levels in the organization
  • A builder and doer that approaches work with a great sense of urgency and strong bias for action and is able to influence and inspire others to do the same
  • Self-directed, you have an ownership and driver mentality with high standards

Salary Range: $225,000 - $325,000 per year 

Compensation will be determined based on several factors including but not limited to skill set, years of experience and geographic location.
